This fashion editorial was shot in Cuernavaca, south of Mexico City. When the ELLE México team reached out, I suggested that the Centro Cultural Teopanzolco be the setting for this series, as the architecture of this place has always captivated me. Having never visited the location before I conducted a virtual scouting, and it wasn't until our team arrived the day of the shoot that I could figure out which areas would work best as environments for our photoshoot. We photographed Ali that cloudy afternoon for approximately three hours. Three of the final images were selected, printed in A2 format, and then scanned. To ensure the color, brightness, and contrast of the original photographs coexisted with the halftone texture and dust from the printing process, new images were created by digitally merging both processes. Ali wears pieces from the JULIO X Francisco Cancino collection.
02. This editorial was published on the print edition of ELLE México, October 2018.
03. The digitalization process achieved a different expressive quality of the image through the materiality of the paper.
