01. Pieces from the Colombian fashion brand A New Cross exhibited at the IGO exhibition, Mexico City, 2024.
In the whispers of time, amid ancient echoes that dance through history's corridors, IGO unveils a collection of high-end designer pieces within the weathered walls of an old uniform factory. Curated meticulously by collector and designer Inés De La Garza, these garments weave a forest of suspended attire, blending serene tailoring with an avant-garde rebellion and understated sophistication.

To document this pop-up I envisioned the pieces coexisting within an atmosphere different from that of the exhibition. A very important aspect of clothing is its materiality: how fabrics create volumes, shadows, and surfaces as they rest on a body. For me, it was essential to keep the synergy between the textures visible in the exhibition photographs. To achieve this, we set up studio lighting throughout the space. This new light, more dramatic and with greater contrast, highlights the textures of both the garments and the walls—something I noticed was absent in previous records and felt was necessary to convey the experience of being there: physically moving through the installation.

Ephemeral in its essence, the space nestled in the heart of Roma Norte blossoms into an intrinsic showcase during Mexico City's art week. Alongside the collector's pieces, IGO proudly presents works by guest artists Daniel Nyström, Zinna Rudman, Fernando Etulain, Rosi Calderon, and Nicolás Rivero, the creative force behind A New Cross. For over 35 years, Inés has pursued fashion as a moving art, discovering designers worldwide and cherishing the craftsmanship in their creations. Their narratives are etched into the bark of time, crafting a tale of legacy and heritage.

03. The character of the space is defined by ancient walls, floating silhouettes, and remnants of trees.
