Poemaa is a living and experimental archive that aspires to exercise one of the most marginalized and subversive actions within contemporary reality: the contemplation of an aesthetic experience that offers us moments of leisure and connection. In this first edition, we have gathered ten works under the spirit of 'non-zero sum'. Each image represents an impulse whose presence can oscillate between the periphery and the center of this exhibition artifact.
Although the term 'non-zero sum' theoretically refers to situations in which participants can simultaneously benefit or lose, our proposal seeks to establish a safe and collaborative space among diverse artists. Here, the act of play manifests without winners or losers, thus encapsulating the essence of a disruption capable of challenging the system in which we currently survive. Through a contemplative action that radically dissociates itself from individuality, a collective plane opens where play becomes a pathway to communal understanding and action. This allows us to dislocate the current system that fosters competitiveness, hyper-consumption, and apathy, and which, ultimately, erodes our ability to coexist.

Ten prints by the artists Valentina Attolini, Eduardo Caballero, Clemente Delmar, Mariana Dussel, Iran Dimas, Cata González, Hugo Ismael, Sandra Loza, César Núñez, Sinead Oña. Poemaa no.0 allows the viewer to interact with the publication, either by opening a clasp and contemplating each printed work as if it were a book, or by opening both sides to explore each print, rearrange the pages and covers, and create a unique, non-hierarchical combination in each copy.

The launch took place one afternoon downtown at El Centro in Mexico City on December 18, 2024. The publication was presented at Soda, a space at the 6th floor of a building on 5 de Mayo Street, surrounded by the city's skyline. To focus attention on the object, the only furniture present was a desk filled with copies of Poemaa, which could be interacted with by browsing, rearranging, and observing its pages featuring the work of each artist. Poemaa No.0 exists in an edition of 100. For price and availability, please contact.
